Renault’s ever-popular supermini, Clio, is proving to be just as desirable as ever, winning a string of awards down the years, including being hailed as ‘Car of the Year’ 2006 and ‘Best Supermini’ at both the What Car? and recent Auto Express Awards.Beating off all its major competitors in the Auto Express Awards, including the Honda Jazz and Fiat Grande Punto, Clio continues to impress both motorists and the judges with its wide range of engine choices, low running costs, stylish, appealing good looks and fuel economy.
One of the panel members at the recent What Car? Awards, former used car dealer turned TV presenter, Mike Brewer, was particularly enthusiastic about Clio, commenting that: “The Renault is fine looking with a great image and fun-handling. While the Jazz is a good all-rounder, the Clio is more desirable – particularly with younger drivers.”
In awarding Clio as its ‘Best Supermini’, Auto Express also said; “If you want style and a great driving experience without compromising on economy or safety, then the Clio is for you.”
