‘Lifestyle Group lead by example’
Mr Peter Isted, Managing Director of Lifestyle Europe Limited the leading Ford, Mazda, Subaru and Renault dealer group for the South East of England, planted the first of three thousand trees that the Lifestyle Group will plant this year.
Each new car sold to a retail customer will have a tree planted for them by Lifestyle Europe Limited.
Mr Isted said: “Everyone is aware that we must reduce carbon emissions, however there is a reality that we need personal transport. We offer a superb range of ultra efficient engines producing some of the lowest CO2 emissions in the market today. Lifestyle wish to demonstrate to its customers that is a Carbon conscious company, and what better way than to plant a tree with every new car sold. This will mean that the trees will absorb over three thousand tonnes of CO2 in their lifetime, and at the same time release life giving Oxygen into the atmosphere.”
The trees will be planted on the Alladale reserve some 23000 acres in north east Scotland.Alladale is situated in the heart of the ancient Caledonian Forest. This area that was once known as the Great Wood of Caledon is undergoing a massive reforestation project, this year 2008 the target is to plant over 100,000 trees on the reserve.
Each customer will receive a certificate that a tree has been planted in their name, when they take delivery of their new car.
